Dr. James McAnulty
(Principal Dentist)
James is a Maitland local, finishing high school at All Saints College and playing basketball for the Maitland Mustangs. After completing his degree at the University of Queensland, he returned home to begin his career and work alongside his father, Chris. He has a keen commitment to preventive and minimally invasive dentistry. When he is not at work, you will find James enjoying the outdoors with his wife, Taylor or out on the golf course.
Dr. Nicole Zhao
(Dentist)
Born and raised in Canberra, Nicole has always had an interest in healthcare. She completed her degree in Orange, NSW, where she discovered the pleasure in servicing small, tight-knit communities. Nicole is passionate about making dentistry as comfortable and anxiety-free as possible for everyone. Outside the clinic, she enjoys beach days, walks with her dog and cooking up a feast in the kitchen.
Krystal West
(Dental Hygienist)
Krystal is originally from Portland, Victoria and completed the Bachelor of Oral Health at The University of Adelaide. She has worked in public, specialist and general private dental practices in Adelaide, Melbourne and Darwin. Krystal has been with the team at Maitland Dental Care since 2014. She is passionate about the prevention of dental disease and regularly attends professional development training. In her spare time, you’ll find her quilting, hitting golf balls and spending time with her family.
Kristy Darken
(Oral Health Therapist)
Growing up the Hunter, Kristy has been in the dental industry locally for over 24 years.
Starting out as a Dental Assistant, she discovered her love of making people smile.
Kristy graduated in 2010 from the University of Newcastle as a Dental Hygienist, and has worked in general dentistry and with specialist Periodontists. Her passion is to make people feel at ease when coming to the dentist and providing quality dental care. In her spare time, you will find Kristy in her veggie garden or camping with her husband, son and dog Arlo
Rebecca Hunter
(Practice Manager)
Rebecca is a Maitland native and she is part of a strong community focused family. After completing high school at Maitland Grossman, she began working in the dental industry. Her career has spanned over 24 years, 17 of which have been with Maitland Dental Care, where she started as a dental assistant and then progressed to practice manager. When she is not at work, you will find Rebecca running her own business, spending quality time with her husband and daughter or camping with family and friends.
